Chelsea are reportedly poised to sell academy product Tyrique George after sealing a deadline day deal to sign Facundo Buonanotte.

Argentina international Buonanotte became Chelsea’s 11th permanent signing of the summer when he joined from Brighton on a season-long loan worth around £2million.

The 20-year-old, who can operate as a No 10 or out wide, spent last season on loan at Leicester City and scored six goals in 35 appearances despite the Foxes’ relegation.

He has already been capped twice by Argentina and is well known to Chelsea chiefs Paul Winstanley and Sam Jewell, who previously worked at Brighton.

Buonanotte told Chelsea’s official website: ‘I’m very happy to join Chelsea. It’s a great opportunity for me and I’m just looking to add as much to the squad as possible, help the team and help the staff.’

His arrival follows the signings of fellow attackers Alejandro Garnacho, Jamie Gittens and Brazilian starlet Estevao, as Chelsea continue a major rebuild under Enzo Maresca.

According to The Athletic, Fulham have agreed a £22million deal to sign George on a permanent basis.

The package is said to include a sell-on clause, while the 19-year-old winger has reportedly settled on a five-year contract and is expected to undergo a medical before the deadline passes.

George made 26 appearances last season, scoring three goals, and featured in almost every game of Chelsea’s Conference League campaign.

The teenager has also featured in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Fulham.

He came through the academy after joining at under-eight level and has represented England up to under-19 level.

Meanwhile, striker Nicolas Jackson is also set to depart Stamford Bridge.

Bayern Munich have agreed a loan with an obligation to buy that could rise to £70.5m, with the 24-year-old keen to move after Chelsea added Liam Delap and Joao Pedro in attack.
