CNC partners with Crimestoppers to strengthen anonymous reporting

The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) has today announced a new partnership with the independent charity Crimestoppers, providing officers and staff with a strengthened route for raising concerns anonymously.

The new service, which replaces CNC’s previous SafeCall system, aligns the organisation with most other Home Office police forces and reinforces its commitment to the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and ethical conduct.

Crimestoppers’ Police Integrity Line offers a completely independent and confidential platform where individuals can report misconduct, unethical behaviour, or workplace concerns without fear of identification or retaliation. The service operates 24/7 and guarantees anonymity, as no personal details are ever recorded.

A central focus of the partnership is supporting those who wish to report sexual harassment. CNC has made clear that such behaviour has no place within the organisation and will be met with zero tolerance. Through the Police Integrity Line, any police employee – regardless of gender – can safely and anonymously share their concerns.

Superintendent Alastair Stenner, Head of the Professional Standards Department, said the transition represents a key step in reinforcing CNC’s values and supporting a healthy, transparent culture.

“This is an opportunity to re-emphasise the behaviours we expect across the force. By backing this service with clear assurances and guidance, we are upholding both the spirit and the letter of our Code of Ethics. This includes making sure everyone, especially those affected by serious matters like sexual harassment, knows there is a trusted, anonymous route to speak up.”

Contact the Police Integrity Line by calling 0800 111 4444 or visit [The Police Integrity Line Crimestoppers](https//forms.theiline.co.uk/the-police-integrity-line).
