Freddie Freeman didn’t play for the Dodgers on Wednesday night against CIncinnatti Reds but still had a moment that has gone viral. Unfortunately, though, it’s one he will want to quickly forget.

Midway through the game at Dodger Stadium, cameras cut to Freeman in the home team’s dugout, where he was watching his side’s eventual 5-1 win.

Unaware that the cameras were on him Freeman took what he thought was a moment where nobody was looking to pluck out a nose hair.

Unbeknown to the two-time World Series champion, though, the world was watching.

‘Ah! Get it Freddie!’ Dodgers play-by-play commentator Joe Davis said as Freeman winced at pulling the hair out.

Inevitably, the three-second clip was posted on social media by a fan, who captioned it: ‘Freddie Freeman nose hair cleaning’.

The 35-year-old was missing from his team’s lineup due to a neck issue, so the moment being caught on camera was even more unfortunate for him.

‘He’s got a little kind of neck stinger that went from his neck to his shoulder on the right side,’ Dodgers manager Dave Roberts explained.

‘So I think just getting him a couple days (rest), with the off day tomorrow, he’ll be back in there on Friday.’

Before the game started, Freeman had welcomed soccer star Heuing-min Son to Dodger Stadium to throw the first pitch.

The South Korea international recently signed for Major League Soccer team LAFC, igniting huge excitement after 10 years with Premier League team Tottenham.

Freeman’s Dodgers, the current World Series champions, currently lead the National League West by two gams over the San Diego Padres.

Last season, Freeman ignited the Dodgers charge to World Series glory with a walk-off homer in Game 1 against the New York Yankees.

From there, he went on a tear and hit four home runs and knocked in 12 RBIs during the series that his team won 4-1.

It marked a glorious end to what had been a challenging year personally for Freeman, after his youngest son Max was diagnosed with a rare neurological illness called Guillain-Barre syndrome, where the immune system attacks itself.

Maximus was able to make a full recovery and the Freeman family donated $1million to a charity helping people impacted by the condition.

The Dodgers are back in action Friday night against divisional rivals Arizona Diamondbacks in Los Angeles.
