Two Liverpool stars have had ‘really poor starts’ to the Premier League season, according to Jamie Carragher.
The Anfield legend believes one player in particular has been ‘all over the place’ despite featuring in their victories over Bournemouth and Newcastle.
Rio Ngumoha etched his name into Liverpool history on Monday night as he came off the bench to score a 100th-minute winner, becoming the club’s youngest-ever goalscorer aged 16 years and 361 days.
That moment of ecstasy and poetry capped off a thrilling night at Newcastle, which saw Liverpool take a 2-00 lead, throw it away, and eventually rely on the youngster to bail them out.
But Carragher feels Arne Slot’s side still have a lot to work on and is concerned about the form of two players, as brilliant as they were last campaign.
‘Mo Salah and Ibrahima Konate have had really poor starts,’ he said on Monday Night Football.

Analaysing Newcastle’s equalising goal, which saw a long ball bounce over Konate before William Osula dinked home, he said: ‘He has been all over the place.
‘I want my centre-back to go and win that. He was more interested in grabbing his arm.
‘He was not at the races at all. I absolutely shudder to think where Liverpool would be without Virgil van Dijk who has been absolutely outstanding.’
Konate had been sloppy in possession at St James’ Park and this followed a shaky performance against Bournemouth on the opening night of the season.
The Frenchman played stray passes, was caught out in a footrace for Bournemouth’s first goal, and didn’t engage with Antoine Semenyo for the second.
Konate was imperious for Liverpool as they won the title last seasons Arne Slot will not rush into any decisions.
But with Giovanni Leoni on the bench after joining from Parma for £26million, and Marc Guehi another potential arrival, there will be competition for his spot.
