Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher could be offered the chance to return to a Premier League club before the closure of the transfer window.
Gallagher has only been at Atletico for a year but is eager to play regularly this season ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
As reported by The Sun, Crystal Palace are amongst the clubs that are interested in signing Gallagher.
Palace want to add to their squad after the sale of Eberechi Eze to Arsenal for £67.5million.
Gallagher made 50 appearances in his first season at Atletico and scored against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
However, he has endured a frustrating start to the season and it is possible that he could now be on the move again.

Gallagher was substituted at half time as Atletico lost 2-1 away to Espanyol in their opening game of the LaLiga season.
He subsequently played just 22 minutes as a substitute in the 1-1 draw at home to Elche.
Gallagher has 22 caps for England but is determined to ensure that he will be part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans next summer.
The 25-year-old has also been linked with Newcastle, although the Magpies have now brought in Jacob Ramsey.
Although Gallagher is still considered part of Atletico’s plans for this season, they could be open to selling him if a suitable offer is made.
Gallagher started out at Chelsea and had a loan spell at Palace in the 2021-22 season, during which he played 39 games, scored eight goals and provided five assists. He was also named the club’s player of the season.
