Funding for co-commissions, touring and new music projects

The PRS Foundation’s Beyond Borders fund is now open for applications, offering grants of up to £20,000 for co-commissions and touring projects.

The scheme supports not-for-profit organisations, music groups and composers working across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Applicants must deliver at least three live performances in three different regions between the award date and the end of the following calendar year.

Projects may include new commissions, performances of works written in the last five years, recordings and cross-artform collaborations. While recordings and digital activity are eligible, live performance must remain central.

Since its launch in 2010, Beyond Borders has supported more than 50 projects, enabling music creators to collaborate across borders and reach new audiences. The fund is delivered in partnership with Creative Scotland, Arts Council of Wales, Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Arts Council of Ireland.

Applications must be led by an organisation or music group, with at least three partners from different regions. Larger partnerships, including international organisations, are encouraged.

The deadline for applications is 15 September 2025 at 6pm.

For eligibility details and guidance, visit the PRS Foundation website.
