Opportunity to join GBIPs focused on semiconductors

Explore growth opportunities in the semiconductors sector

Innovate UK is inviting ambitious UK-based innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) working in the semiconductor sector to apply for three Global Business Innovation Programmes (GBIPs) focused on Japan, Switzerland, and Singapore. These programmes help businesses connect with international partners, explore market opportunities, and grow their innovation globally.

The programmes include

  • a preparation phase
  • a tailored five-day market visit to either Japan, Switzerland or Singapore
  • post-visit support to help businesses build partnerships and scale globally

Each programme has a different focus area.

GBIP in Japan

Innovate UK is looking for innovative businesses that focus on delivering solutions in the following technology areas

  • advanced packaging of semiconductors
  • compound semiconductors
  • semiconductor design/IP

To fall into the scope of this GBIP with Japan, the end use of your technology should be applicable to the following areas

  • automotive
  • photonics
  • high powered computing / data centres

GBIP in Switzerland

Innovate UK is looking for innovative businesses that focus on delivering solutions in the following technology areas

  • equipment and process
  • photonics, RF and quantum
  • sensing
  • power electronics

GBIP in Singapore

Innovate UK is looking for innovative businesses that focus on delivering solutions in the following technology areas

  • compound and WBG semiconductors
  • advanced packaging
  • photonicsand RF
  • design/IP
  • metrology
  • manufacture/processing

Focus themes

  • power
  • telecoms
  • sensors
  • data Centres/HPC

This series of GBIPs is being delivered by Innovate UK and funded by the UKRI Technology Missions Fund.
