Three people have been arrested after a report a drone was used to drop a package into a prison in Nottinghamshire.
Nottinghamshire Police said staff at HMP Lowdham Grange recovered a package – suspected to contain mobile phones, chargers and drugs – which was believed to have been dropped behind the walls at about 10:25 BST on Sunday.
Officers said they stopped a vehicle, thought to have been involved, shortly afterwards in Colwick Loop Road and confiscated a drone found in the boot.
The car’s occupants, two women aged 19 and 46, and an 18-year-old man, were arrested on suspicion of conveying prohibited items into a prison, police added.
