The Software For All initiative is designed to simplify the process of finding and recruiting software apprentices.

A growing number of companies in Northern Ireland are turning to apprenticeships to build their software talent. Software apprenticeships combine hands-on experience with formal education. Typically, apprentices work four days a week and train one day a week, contributing to meaningful projects from day one.

Funded by the Department for the Economy and led by Workplus in partnership with Software NI, the Software For All project is designed to simplify the process of finding and recruiting software apprentices.

Inclusive and accessible job roles

The Software For All project has a strong focus on inclusion, particularly supporting more women into software roles. By highlighting the stories of women thriving in the sector, it aims to challenge perceptions and widen participation.

How to get involved

Employers can access the Workplus platform for free to connect with talent, take part in coordinated marketing and schools engagement campaigns, and benefit from free mentor training.

To take part in the January/February or August 2026 apprentice recruitment campaigns, register your interest in the Software For All initiative.
