Caitlin Clark may have turned down a multi-million-dollar offer from Ice Cube’s BIG3 league but Angel Reese won’t be getting her sloppy seconds.
The Indiana Fever sensation was reportedly offered a staggering $15million to join the 3-on-3 basketball league, founded by the rapper and co-owner Jeff Kwatinetz.
However, the 23-year-old failed to join their roster with the offer of a sensational payday reportedly never even reaching Clark.
After failing to land Clark, the BIG3 honchos could have turned to her biggest rival and fellow WNBA star, Reese.
But Ice Cube swiftly shut down that suggestion with a brutal snub of the Chicago Sky forward.
The musician made it clear that a similar offer would not be finding its way to Reese when questioned about the situation by TMZ this week.

Caitlin Clark was reportedly offered $15million to sign with the basketball league

The rapper revealed that the league would not make a similar offer to the Chicago Sky star
Ice Cube insisted that it wasn’t an intentional snub of Reese’s game, instead explaining that the league believed the former No 7 pick wouldn’t have the same financial draw as Clark.
He claimed that the league’s sponsors had assured him that Clark’s signing would have brought a massive financial boost but advised him that Reese would not have the same effect.
‘They didn’t tell us the same thing about Angel Reese,’ he said. ‘I don’t know if we can make that same offer.’
BIG3’s offer would have front-loaded a huge payday for Clark to become the first woman to play in a North American men’s professional basketball league, per Bleacher Report.
Clark’s offer from Big3 would have included a $10million in salary over two years, plus ‘a percentage of team ownership worth millions, 50 percent of merchandising revenues from her name and likeness, and ownership of a BIG3 documentary with a seven-figure advance,’ per Kwatinetz.
Big3 started in 2017 but has not reached the popularity of the WNBA, and has not come close to the NBA.
However, Ice Cube appeared pleased with the progress of his league this week, boasting about the 2025 season so far.
‘We got some great players,’ he said. ‘Lance Stephenson, Dwight Howard. Wesley Johnson’s been great, Montrezl Harrell’s been great. The league has been must-see TV for sure.’
