BREAKING NEWSKansas City Chiefs sign wide receiver Hal Presley, who was ditched by the Buffalo Bills

Kansas City Chiefs have handed the opportunity of a lifetime to free agent wide receiver Hal Presley, signing him to their 90-man roster before the start of training camp.

Presley went undrafted earlier this year before being signed by the Buffalo Bills on May 9.

The Baylor product took part in rookie minicamp in Buffalo but the Bills released him around two weeks later.

Now, he heads to Kansas City for a chance to show Andy Reid and the Super Bowl runners-up that their AFC rivals made a big mistake.

In 2024 at Baylor, he averaged 12.9 yards per catch and recorded 429 yards overall for three touchdowns.

The Chiefs had an open spot at wide receiver after Justyn Ross was cut last week at his own request.

Should Presley make the most of the opportunity that has gone his way, it wouldn’t be the first time the Bills have inadvertently helped one of their great rivals.

In 2024, they traded their first round pick (No 28) with the Chiefs, who then drafted the speedy wide receiver Xavier Worthy.

And notoriously, they traded their 10th overall pick to the Chiefs in 2017, leading Kansas City to take none other than three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Since then, he has been the man who has repeatedly stopped Buffalo from reaching a Super Bowl. He has beaten them four times in the postseason, twice in the AFC Championship game and twice in the divisional round.

This season, the Chiefs head to Highmark to face Josh Allen and his men on November 2.
