Oasis ‘garden girl’ says ticket callout offer went ‘crazy viral’ | Manchester News

An Oasis superfan who offered her garden as a campsite in exchange for a ticket has said she is still feeling the effect of her viral callout.

Liv Bridge posted on X ahead of the sale last year, saying anyone who could secure her a ticket to the band’s Heaton Park homecoming could camp in her backyard in Whitefield for free in a bid to increase her chances.

The 30-year-old said she received so many replies she had to create an application form for prospective guests.

She said: “I had a little questionnaire for people to fill out with reasons for coming and how long they’d been a fan. There were lots of fake applications, people who didn’t have a ticket or just wanted to come for the party.”

Oasis made their hotly anticipated return to Manchester at Heaton Park on Friday, in the first of five sold out shows.

Ms Bridge, who lives by nearby, said she eventually settled on two people from Newcastle who described themselves as “Ant and Dec from Wish.”

She said it was “just a bit of fun” and she did not expect the post to go as “crazy viral” as it did.

“It was a crazy time and it’s still going on, people who I don’t even know come up to me and say I’ve seen you around, are you the Oasis garden girl?”

She said the post has been seen by seven million people, and she hopes Liam Gallagher might be one of them.

“Surely Liam is on Twitter so much he must have seen my Tweet.

“I don’t even know what I’d do if I met him, I’d probably just melt into a heap.”
