A man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after another man was stabbed.
Greater Manchester Police said a man in his 50s was attacked during a disturbance in Capella Walk, Salford, at about 22:00 BST on Sunday.
Paramedics treated him at the scene before he was taken to hospital, where he is in a “stable condition”.
A GMP spokesman said a man in his 50s was arrested at the scene, and remained in custody for questioning.
