Bursaries to help you promote your music on the world stage
The Arts Council of Northern Ireland is now accepting applications for delegate bursaries to attend WOMEX – the World Music Expo 2025, taking place in Tampere, Finland from 22 to 26 October 2025.
WOMEX is the leading international professional market for world music, attracting over 2,000 delegates from more than 90 countries, including concert and festival bookers, labels, publishers, distributors, managers, and media.
Northern Ireland musicians, managers, and agents with a proven international touring record and strong promotional materials can apply for one of up to four bursaries. Each bursary is worth £700 and covers conference registration, return flights, and part of accommodation and subsistence costs. Only one bursary is awarded per group.
Selected delegates will join the UK and Ireland’s combined Horizons stand, promoting their work to global industry professionals. Horizons partners provide additional support, including a dedicated stand, online profiles, networking events, and ongoing guidance.
Applications will close on Thursday 10 July 2025.
Decisions will be announced in August. Applicants who have received three ACNI WOMEX bursaries previously are ineligible.
