For the second time in three years, the lone New Englander on the PGA Tour has won the golf circuit’s lone New England event.
USA Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley took home the Travelers Championship on the final hole at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut on Sunday – taking advantage of a stunning collapse from Tommy Fleetwood.
The victory means that Bradley moves into the top-ten for Ryder Cup points – making it possible for the Vermont native to be a playing captain at Bethpage Black in late September.
Fleetwood entered the day as the 54-hole leader at 16-under par. But he finished the day at two-over on the notoriously low-scoring course.
Bradley, meanwhile, finished the day at two-under – meticulously navigating the back-nine at River Highlands while Fleetwood struggled.
