Oldham Athletic have signed Cheltenham Town midfielder Tom Pett on a two-year deal following his successful loan spell at Boundary Park last season.
The 33-year-old signed midway through last season to help Oldham win promotion to League Two via the National League play-offs.
His new deal begins at the start of July.
Pett made 24 appearances in all competitions for Micky Mellon’s side, and he told the club website, external it was a “no-brainer” to return to the north west following the end of his contract at Cheltenham.
“I really enjoyed my time here last season. From the moment I arrived, I felt settled and part of something,” he said.
“I think we can achieve great things together this season it’s a great place and really it was a no-brainer to sign for another two years.”
