Carlos Tevez scores FOUR goals to inspire World XI comeback as he’s booed throughout his Old Trafford return at Soccer Aid – before hauling down former England star to prevent late equaliser

Carlos Tevez scored four goals in 15 minutes — and was widely booed after all of them — during Sunday’s Soccer Aid game at Old Trafford.

The 41-year-old is no stranger to the Theatre of Dreams, having spent two seasons at Manchester United between 2007 and 2009.

Tevez enjoyed great success with United, winning six trophies — including two Premier League titles and one UEFA Champions League.

But he forfeited his status as a United fan favourite by transferring to rivals Manchester City in 2009.

There were clearly many United supporters in the crowd on Sunday because Tevez was roundly booed when his name was read out over the speaker system prior to his introduction as a second-half substitute.

England were leading Tevez’s World XI 2-0 at this point. But then came a flood of goals, with each of the ex-Argentina forward’s strikes roundly jeered.

Former professionals Joe Hart and Edwin van der Sar had kept goal in the first 45 minutes, but they were replaced by celebrity stoppers Nicky Byrne and Paddy McGuinness at the interval.

Comedian McGuinness was no match for the clinical finishing of Tevez, who scored 84 goals in 201 games during his Premier League career.

Tevez’s four goals drew the World XI level at 4-4 before rapper and chef Big Zuu netted a late winner.

Wayne Rooney had earlier opened the scoring in front of the Stretford End, before ex-Lionesses star Toni Duggan doubled the home side’s lead.

Jermain Defoe then bagged a brace in a second half that belonged to Tevez.
