The latest twist in the feud between Simone Biles and Riley Gaines has seen the conservative sports commentator reveal she feels ‘sorry’ for the Olympic hero due to how many people came after her.
The feud between Gaines and Biles started on Friday, after the former college swimmer, who competed against Lia Thomas, commented on a photo of a Minnesota high school softball player. That led to a furious response from the gymnast.
Now, after a few days and a massive reaction, Gaines has had time to reflect on what transpired between the women on OutKick.
‘I was prepared when I got that notification, Clay (Travis), on my phone for that onslaught of hatred to come towards me,’ Gaines said. ‘Look at Simone Biles’ comments section… She is getting absolutely demolished to the point where I almost feel bad for her, like I really do. I have read these comments, I’m like, “Oh my gosh!”‘
‘It was the number one trending thing on Twitter for, I mean, two days straight. Even on TikTok – every TikTok video that pops up on my For You page is someone coming for Simone Biles for coming for me and for my body.’
Motorsports legend Danica Patrick also sided with Riley Gaines in her feud with the legendary gymnast, saying had been ‘red pilled’ in reference to being fed the wrong information.

The duo sparred on social media over transgender athletes competing in women’s sports
Biles has yet to make any additional comments since the instance the Olympic hero, 28, hit out at Gaines Friday night when she compared her to a man.
The stinging online attack triggered a bitter social media feud between the two with Gaines, the host of OutKick’s Gaines for Girls podcast, issuing a series of rebukes.
Gaines has forged a career as a political commentator for OutKick and Fox following her time under the NCAA banner. Her campaigning has won praise from Donald Trump, who welcomed her to the White House before signing the ‘Keeping Men out of Women’s Sports’ executive order in February.
Biles initial harsh jab at Gaines that set off the chain of events read, ‘You’re truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser. You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports. Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports!!’
‘But instead… You bully them… One things for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around!!!!!’
She then tweeted at Gaines again, saying: ‘Bully someone your own size, which would ironically be a male.’
