Contracts for Innovation Clean Air Phase 3 competition

Funded by Innovate UK, this standalone Contracts for Innovation competition aims to support extended field trials of existing pre-commercial innovations that address air pollution.

Projects must focus on monitoring air pollutants, extracting harmful emissions, or mitigating them at the source to safeguard public health.

Successful applicants will receive funding to test and improve their technologies in real-world or representative settings. They must collaborate with potential future customers and end users, whose participation can also be funded.

The strongest proposals will demonstrate a clear route to market and potential buyer interest, including commitment to future procurement.

This competition does not fund early-stage ideas or low-TRL prototypes. It is open to any eligible applicants with existing pre-commercial innovations which might contribute to cleaner air.

The deadline for applications is 11am on Wednesday 25 June 2025.

You can watch the recording of the online briefing event to find out more about this competition.

Alternatively, you can read the competition overview to learn more about the scope and eligibility.
