Arsenal look to make history on Saturday evening when they face the defending champions Barcelona in the Women’s Champions League final.

The Gunners head into the final as massive underdogs with the Catalan giants looking to etch their name in the history books by winning a third successive European crown, a fourth in five seasons.

Whilst Renee Slegers’ Arsenal women led by captain Kim Little are hoping to lift the trophy for only the second time.

Arsenal forced their way to the final by producing one of the biggest upsets in women’s club football as they came from behind to beat eight-time champions Lyon 5-3 across two semi-final legs.

The north London side are the only English team to win the most coveted title in women’s club football and will be hoping to do it once again this evening in Lisbon.

Speaking to Mail Sport ahead of the final during the Gatorade Moment of Sweat hosted by Pep City Portuguese international Tatiana Pinto revealed how she thinks the game will play out.

‘I think if Arsenal score early, maybe they can surprise Barca, you never know.

‘I’d go with a 3-1 for Barca, until the end, two goals in the last minutes.’

She named two-time Ballon D’or winner and Barcelona captain Alexia Putellas as the player who she believes will make all the difference if it is a tight affair.

‘Alexia (Putellas), because from nothing, she can just score.’

The Atletico Madrid and Portuguese international also revealed who she would be rooting for in the Estádio José Alvalade on Saturday.

‘I’m supporting Barca just because of Kika (Nazareth) and she’s Portuguese.

‘I always support mine.

‘I know it’s a cliché but I really support her and want the best for her.’

Her close friendship with Nazareth also gave Mail Sport a glimpse into what the mood is like in the Barcelona camp ahead of the big day.

‘Barca are never nervous, they are used to this pressure, they know what it is to win, to lose.

They really know what they are doing, so they are really prepared.

‘The mood is quite good, not that they think they are the best. It’s not about that but they know they need to suffer to win tomorrow.
