BREAKING NEWSMan United are handed a TRIPLE injury boost as they train ahead of flying to Bilbao for Europa League final against Tottenham

Ruben Amorim has been handed a major boost ahead of the Europa League final against Tottenham as three crucial stars were pictured back in training.

United will take on Tottenham in Bilbao on Wednesday night in the showpiece event as Ruben Amorim’s side aim to rescue what has been a dismal season.

Things haven’t been much better for Spurs, with the North London club one place behind United in 17th in the Premier League after 21 defeats in 37 games.

However, as United conducted their final training session in England ahead of flying to Bilbao for the clash, Amorim received some welcome good news.

Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro and Diogo Dalot were all pictured in the session having been major fitness doubts for the final.

Dalot has been absence since United’s defeat by Wolves last month after picking up a calf problem.

The defender has been a key player for United since AMorim arrived, featuring at either left or right wing back.

Initially, it had been touch and go whether he would return before the season ended after Amorim had said: ‘There is that possibility but I don’t know, we will check week by week, because he works really hard, he can recover quite well, so we will see.

‘He has a problem with his muscle in his calf. He had a sequence of games, he played all the time.

‘We tried to manage but some of the players have to play a lot of minutes and we have to protect the ones that we think are not so ready to cope with that, but Dalot felt something.’

However, earlier this month, Amorim then offered a more positive update on Dalot, who has played 51 times in all competitions in 2024-25.

‘Dalot is doing everything to recover, and I think they will push now to be available,’ Amorim added.

The appearance of Zirkzee is the most surprising given the Dutch international had been ruled out for the season by Amorim after hobbling off during United’s 4-1 defeat by Newcastle last month with a hamstring injury.

Speaking shortly after that game, Amorim had explained: ‘So, he’s not going to play more this season. Let’s prepare him for the next one.

‘It’s tough, especially in this moment. I think he’s improving in all aspects of the game, so it’s hard for any player to stop.’

Meanwhile, Yoro was forced off with a foot injury during United’s 2-0 defeat by West Ham at Old Trafford on May 11.

This significantly threatened his participation given he missed more than four months of action earlier this season when he suffered a similar setback in pre-season.

The Frenchman, who joined United from Lille for £52million last summer, subsequently missed the defeat to Chelsea last Friday.

‘He had that problem at the beginning of the season,’ Amorim had explained about Yoro’s latest fitness issue.

‘We hope it’s not too serious. I don’t want to say too much, but maybe it’s not a big deal.’
