Everton said goodbye to Goodison Park with a comfortable victory over Southampton on an emotional afternoon on Merseyside.
After 132 years of history, the Toffees will move to their new home – the Hill Dickinson Stadium – on Bramley-Moore Dock next season, with their last match of this term to be played away from home.
The women’s team will call Goodison Park home when the men’s team move out, and they signed off in style as they eased past Premier League basement side Southampton.
Thousands gathered in and outside of the stadium for the men’s team’s first home game, with Iliman Ndiaye bagging a brace as they eased past the Saints, winning 2-0.
