Port Adelaide star Ollie Wines has shared heartwarming personal news, announcing that he and long-time partner Olivia May are expecting their first child.
The couple made the announcement on Mother’s Day via Instagram, with Olivia writing, ‘Soon to be three.’
The post featured a carousel of images, including an ultrasound photo and a cake with blue frosting inside, confirming they’re having a baby boy.
Friends, fans, and fellow AFL families quickly flooded the post with congratulations and well wishes.
Kellie Finlayson, wife of Port player Jeremy, wrote, ‘Congratulations beautiful humans,’ while Charlotte Viney, wife of Melbourne’s Jack, added, ‘So happy!!’
The reveal also brought a smile to Port Adelaide supporters following the club’s disappointing loss to Adelaide in Saturday night’s Showdown.

Olivia shared the heartwarming news with this Instagram post including an ultrasound of the impending arrival

The announcement doubled as a gender reveal, with the couple announcing they are expecting a baby boy
Port Adelaide’s official Instagram account responded to the news with: ‘Couldn’t love this more.’
Olivia, an interior stylist, shared the update with her nearly 4000 followers, and the post gained attention across the AFL community.
Other partners of players, including Byra Powell-Pepper, Claudia Neale and Els Walker, joined in the celebrations with heartfelt messages.
Wines and Olivia have been together for around five years, and their announcement marked another major moment in their journey together.
When Wines won the 2021 Brownlow Medal, he paid tribute to Olivia early in their relationship.
‘You’re probably the reason for my success this year,’ he said during his acceptance speech. ‘So thanks very much and hopefully we’re back here next year.’
The joyful news comes amid a challenging period for the midfielder, who has dealt with ongoing heart issues across recent seasons.
In April, Wines was subbed out of Port Adelaide’s clash against Sydney at the SCG after experiencing an irregular heartbeat in the first half.

It is huge news for Wines who has resurrected his footy career despite a series of heart scares
It marked the third time he’s been subbed out due to the condition, which he first encountered in 2022.
Despite undergoing minor surgery late last year, the issue returned unexpectedly.
Coach Ken Hinkley addressed the concern post-match, saying, ‘To the best of my knowledge Ollie had another one of his little episodes on his heart, which our doctors have had well under control.’
Hinkley assured fans the club is managing the situation closely.
‘He is pretty comfortable in the rooms… he knows how to react with it. He self-diagnosed and said, ‘My heart is doing a few silly things at the moment,’ Hinkley said.
The club will continue to monitor the issue. Hinkley added that Wines is ‘a little frustrated’ but remains confident he’ll be fine based on past recoveries.
