Hours after making his red carpet with girlfriend Kylie Jenner in Rome, Timothee Chalamet stayed up into the early hours in Italy to cheer the New York Knicks on in another stunning NBA playoffs win.

The Knicks beat the Boston Celtics 91-90, again overturning a 20-point Celtics lead at TD Garden to take a 2-0 advantage back to Madison Square Garden for Game 3 on Saturday.

Boston had a chance to recover in the final seconds, but Mikal Bridges knocked the ball away from Jayson Tatum and New York took possession.

Chalamet, watching from all the way in Italy, couldn’t contain his joy and posted on Instagram: LETS F***ING GO HOLY S***’.

The actor then shared a snap of Bridges crucial intervention with the caption: ‘MIKAL’.

It wasn’t quite a such a celebratory scene at Dave Portnoy’s house, where the Barstool Sports founder and avid Celtics fan was left stunned by what he’d seen.

He was, however, defiant in his belief that the Celtics would emerge victorious at the end of the best-of-seven series.

Speaking in a video captioned ‘I’m not worried at all’, Portnoy said: ‘Maybe I am being naive, I still think Celtics are going to win this series. I just can’t wrap my brain around Celtics losing to the Knicks.

‘But I also can’t wrap my mind around them blowing 20-point leads in consecutive games and going four from like 100 from three. You can’t shoot that bad.

‘There’s just no way they are going to lose to the Knicks. Down two, whatev. No.’

In a separate video captioned ‘Celtics in 6’, he added: ‘They can’t play worse than these two games.

‘Errr.. Celtics in six. You just can’t play worse, can’t.’

He also hit back at fans criticizing Portnoy for highlighting an earlier passage of play and saying it made him confident the Celtics were desitned for championship No. 19.

‘It’s come to my attention a lot of people are blaming the loss on me for this tweet,’ Portnoy wrote. ‘I am still 100% confident. If you wanna jump ship then do it.

It’s come to my attention a lot of people are blaming the loss on me for this tweet. I am still 100% confident. If you wanna jump ship then do it. I’m not scared yet at all. And when we’re back on the Duckboats we’ll all have a good laugh about this bump in road https://t.co/KgreZRhjOc

‘I’m not scared yet at all. And when we’re back on the Duckboats we’ll all have a good laugh about this bump in road.’

Stephen A. Smith was in the mood to celebrate another famous win for his Knicks, sharing a video of him screaming in joy and singing: ‘Go New York, Go New York, Go!’

The teams now have two days to rest and reset before Saturday afternoon’s game at MSG in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Game 4 is Monday night in New York.

Jalen Brunson scored 17 points for New York, a quieter night by his standards, and made two free throws with 12.7 seconds left for a 91-90 lead.

Bridges also scored all of his 14 points in the fourth quarter. Josh Hart had 23 points and Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 21 points and 17 rebounds for the Knicks.

Jaylen Brown and Derrick White scored 20 points apiece for the Celtics, who were 10 for 40 from 3-point range – much to Portnoy’s dismay.
