Barstool Sports founder and president Dave Portnoy has plenty to say about the Jordon Hudson-Bill Belichick situation.
After speaking on his own podcast yesterday about Belichick’s awkward interview with CBS – and revealing what Hudson is really like – the provocative sports media star appeared on ‘The Megyn Kelly Show’ on Sirius XM to discuss it more.
It comes at a point where the relationship between Hudson and Belichick is under a microscope once again, much like it was when they were first revealed to be dating.
Portnoy revealed his concern and shock as someone who is a diehard Patriots fan and watched Belichick patrolling the sidelines at Gillette Stadium for 24 years.
‘It’s just it’s such a juxtaposition of a guy who seemingly had no media savvy, but was always just straightforward, no time for the media, now having his life run by a [24-year-old]. It certainly is eye-opening for a guy like me,’ Portnoy said during the appearance.
Hudson’s been busy fighting back on the criticism she’s received after the interview – including publishing an email supposedly sent by Belichick about media appearances for his new book ‘The Art of Winning’.

Belichick’s relationship with girlfriend Jordon Hudson has been put under intense scrutiny

It comes after a stunning interview with CBS where Hudson snapped at reporter Tony Dokoupil
Belichick also released a statement through the University of North Carolina, alleging that CBS used ‘selective editing’ in their efforts to push a ‘false narrative’ about his girlfriend.
But Portnoy cast doubts on how much of that statement – or that email – were written by the 73-year-old coach.
‘In my years following Bill Belichick, I would say my knowledge of him, there’s roughly 0 percent chance he wrote that,’ Portnoy said.
‘But he just doesn’t care generally what anyone thinks about him. So to go write that, that, my guess would be Jordon wrote that.’
He added: ‘It’s just so strange in this long email, crazy. The public statement. Crazy. But I’m not even sure he knows that was written. He may not. He may not. I really don’t know.’
On the show with Kelly and on his own podcast called ‘The Unnamed Show’, Portnoy made it clear that he thought Hudson was in charge behind the scenes. However, he pushed back on the idea that she was ‘crazy’.
On his podcast, he recalled meeting Hudson for the first time.
‘I had met Jordon and it was clear that she ran the show,’ he said on the podcast.

Reports say that Hudson seemingly replaced one of Belichick’s most trusted media advisors
‘We were both together at a speaking show and she just ran the show, it was very obvious.’
The podcast’s co-hosts Kirk Minihane and Ryan Whitney proceeded to press the Barstool boss on if and when he realized that Hudson ‘has some issues.’
But the sports media mogul held back from exposing his true feelings about Hudson over fears he could bump into his Nantucket neighbors while staying at his luxury $42 million compound this summer.
‘I don’t know what’s going on,’ Portnoy responded. ‘Let me put it this way, I know her and I know him and I’m going to see them, I’m sure, in Nantucket. And she sees everything that is said.
‘Now, am I afraid of her? No. Am I going to sit here and really go out and say she’s the craziest person I’ve ever seen? No. Because I don’t want to be awkward when I’m carrying my watermelon from the shop and I bump into her.’
It was revealed yesterday that what may have led to Hudson’s dramatic rise in Belichick’s professional life was the loss of the coach’s longtime PR man, Berj Najarian.
Now that Najarian is working for Bill O’Brien at Boston College, the 24-year-old and underexperienced Hudson is running the media relations for Belichick.
