Jurgen Klopp has broken silence and sent an emotional message to Liverpool fans after his former side clinched Premier League title.
The Reds thrashed Tottenham 5-1 on Sunday to ensure they secured a historic 20th league title – with players and staff soaking up the occasion on the pitch.
It was the second title of the Premier League era, with Arne Slot – Klopp’s successor in the Liverpool dugout – joining an elite club of managers to win the league in their debut campaign.
Now, Klopp has offered his congratulations to the side in the form of an emotional message on his Instagram account.
The German said: ‘Super grateful for the past, super, super happy about the present, extremely positive about the future! Congratulations – YNWA. Thank You Luv’.
During his nine years at Liverpool, Klopp helped clinch a Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and two League Cups.

While Klopp could not be at the match, he was still honoured and celebrated by current boss Slot – who sang the name of his predecessor while on the pitch.
Klopp had sung the name of his successor after his final game in charge at Anfield at the end of last season, to the lyrics of ‘Arne Slot, la la la la la la’.
After his Reds side thrashed Tottenham 5-1 to win the league, Slot took the opportunity to pay his own tribute to Klopp, who also lifted the top-flight trophy on Merseyside.
Changing the lyrics slightly to include Klopp’s name instead, Slot led the whole of the stadium in the sing-along before being sprayed with champagne.
The victory secured the club a record-equalling 20th league title, moving them level with Manchester United, and capped off a superb debut season for Slot.
There had been question marks over whether he would be able to replicate the success Klopp brought during his spell at the helm between 2015 and 2024, but the German made sure to use his farewell speech to wish Slot luck in the role.
Clearly, his words were appreciated and Slot repeated the classy gesture.
‘The only thing I can do now is to show my appreciation to Jurgen, so here we go,’ he said, before starting the chant to the tune of Live is Life by Austrian band, Opus.
Elsewhere on the day, Mohamed Salah claimed Liverpool’s Premier League title triumph felt more special than the won the Reds won under Klopp in 2020.
‘This is way better, 100 per cent,’ Salah told Sky Sports after Sunday’s clincher.

‘Without Sadio (Mane), without Jurgen, without Bobby (Firmino) – without everybody it feels more special.
‘We have a different group now, different manager, so to be able to do it again is something special.’
Asked if Slot had made him a better player, Salah joked: ‘You can see the numbers – it seems so!
‘He was very honest. He’s quite tough his personality, but he made our lives easier because you knew immediately what he wanted you to do, which is what we did.’
