It’s been over a month since former First Lady Michelle Obama appeared on Kylie Kelce’s podcast and the host still can’t believe that it happened.
Kylie, the wife of former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, is relishing in the success of her podcast ‘Not Gonna Lie’.
Back in March, she interviewed Mrs. Obama in a very popular episode of the show.
Reflecting back on the discussion over a month later, Kylie still was in shock that the 61-year-old agreed to come on in the first place.
‘Fans were shocked that we got Michelle Obama. And girl, same,’ Kelce said before reacting with a surprised face.
She continued: ‘But this was the top comment under our announcement video. It had 48,000 likes. So I feel like we were all feeling the same vibe. And that comment is, “SHUT THE F**K UP KYLIE.”‘

‘I still can’t wrap my head around it,’ Kylie added. ‘I fear that you guys think that I’m kidding when I emphasize that I have no business speaking to the people that I get to speak to.
‘I was very nervous to speak to Mrs. Obama. I am so incredibly grateful that she was able to come on. I absolutely love how excited people were in the comments on things because it validated how hype I was about getting that opportunity.
‘It’s so much fun to get to do things that are full circle, and it’s so cool to get to speak to people that you never thought in your entire lifetime that you would get to speak to.
‘And it just keeps happening. People that I’m like, why? I don’t know why you agreed to this, but I am so happy you did.’
That episode came at a time where rumors suggested that Michelle and her husband, Barack Obama, were headed for a separation in their marriage.
Further fuel was added to those rumors when Kylie dropped a promotional clip for the episode, wherein Michelle made a joke at the former President’s expense.
During the footage, Michelle discusses Barack mocking how early she goes to bed.
‘Bedtime is the best time of the day,’ she says. ‘My husband teases me about how early I can go to bed. He doesn’t understand the idea of getting into some good sheets and it is cool.

It came amid rumors that Michelle and husband Barack Obama were headed for a divorce
‘If we have got people in the house, I’m game. I’m there, I’m talking. You know, the minute we finish up, I’m trying not to go to bed before the sun goes down.’
Michelle and Barack have been married for 32 years but have faced ongoing rumors about their marriage status over the last few months.
Recently, Michelle was seen in Los Angeles without Barack – but proudly wore her diamond engagement ring as well as her wedding band.
Earlier this month, Michelle addressed the rumors directly on an episode of actress Sophia Bush’s podcast.
She said her decision to skip President Jimmy Carter’s funeral, and President Donald Trump’s inauguration, were simply decisions she made for herself.
Her absence at both high-profile political events stoked divorce rumors, as did President Obama’s admission last week that he was in a ‘deep deficit’ with his wife.

But Michelle pushed back on those rumors in another podcast appearance earlier this month

President Obama admitted that he was in a ‘deep deficit’ with his wife earlier this month
‘That’s the thing that we as women, I think we struggle with disappointing people. I mean, so much so that this year people were, you know, they couldn’t even fathom that I was making a choice for myself that they had to assume that my husband and I are divorcing,’ Obama said in the podcast episode, released Tuesday.
‘That this couldn’t be a grown woman just making a set of decisions for herself, right?’ she continued.
Obama added: ‘That’s what society does to us.’
‘We start actually, finally going, “What am I doing? Who am I doing this for?” And if it doesn’t fit into the sort of stereotype of what people think we should do, then it gets labeled as something negative and horrible.’
