Death toll in Kryvyi Rih continues to grow
The death toll in Kryvyi Rih has continued to grow as 19 people are dead, including children, with a further 75 wounded.
Oleksandr Vilkul, head of Kryvyi Rih’s military administration, declared three days of mourning for the attack, starting on April 7. He said that there was “pain in the hearts of millions of people”.
“Together we will stand. And no matter how difficult it is, we will win,” he said. “The enemy will be punished for every Ukrainian and for every mother’s tear.”
Local authorities said the Kryvyi Rih strike damaged 44 apartment buildings and 23 private houses.

Ukraine’s first deputy prime minister accuses Russia of exploiting ‘ceasefire’
Yulia Svyrydenko, first deputy prime minister, accused Russia of exploiting the “so-called ‘ceasefire’ to assault Ukraine’s civilian population following an attack on Kyiv.
She said: “In the early hours of this morning, Russia launched a massive nationwide attack on Ukraine using ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones.
“Civilian infrastructure was deliberately targeted across the country. Kyiv, and numerous other places came under fire—from land, air, and sea.
“Russia continues to exploit the so-called ‘ceasefire’ not for peace, but to escalate its assault on Ukraine’s civilian population.”

One person killed in Kyiv attack as at least three people left injured
One man has died in Russia’s attack on Kyiv, according to officials.
Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko, said in a Telegram message: “The body of a man killed in an enemy attack was found in the Darnytsia district. He was found on the street, near the epicenter of the explosion. The man’s identity is being established.”
At least three people were injured in the attack on Ukraine’s capital.

Ukraine downs 53 of 132 air attack vehicles following Russian strike
Ukraine’s air force has said they downed 53 of 132 enemy air attack vehicles.
They said that Russia carried out a combined strike on Ukraine with air, ground and sea-based missiles and strike UAVs. They detected and escorted a total of 132 enemy air attack vehicles – 23 miles and 109 strike UAVs.
They were able to down 53 air targets, while a further 53 were lost in location without negative consequences.
As a result of the attack, Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy and Mykolaiv all suffered damages, injuries and losses.

Three women and one man injured in attack on Mykolaiv
Three women and one man were injured in an attack on the southern Ukrainian region of Mykolaiv on Saturday night.
The women were aged between 49 and 72, while the man was 57-years-old, said officials, As of now, all of them are in stable condition and being treated on an outpatient basis.
The attack saw two fires break out in private homes, which were quickly extinguished, and 13 private homes and a car were damaged.

Trump administration apologises for telling Ukraine refugees to leave the US
The Trump administration has backtracked after it said it accidentally informed some Ukrainian refugees fleeing their country’s invasion by Russia that they needed to leave the US because their legal status was being revoked.
CBS News reported that some resettled Ukrainians who came over on the Uniting for Ukraine – U4U – program had received emails telling them that the US Department of Homeland Security would be terminating their legal protections.
These people have now been told in a statement: “The U4U parole program has not been terminated.”
A follow-up message said: “No action will be taken with respect to your parole.”
