One former Newcastle player clearly still has love for the club despite now playing for a Premier League rival as he was spotted in the stands enjoying Sunday’s Carabao Cup triumph with Magpies fans.
Newcastle ended their 70-year wait for a domestic trophy with a fully deserved 2-1 win over Liverpool at Wembley, Dan Burn and Alexander Isak netting before a late consolation from Federico Chiesa.
There were jubilant scenes in the black and white half of the stadium come the full-time whistle and one of their old players was right in the thick of it.
Elliot Anderson spent his entire career with Newcastle before joining Nottingham Forest last year.
He’s a lifelong Magpies supporter and his passion for the club clearly hasn’t dwindled even though he now plays for another club.
Anderson was seen fist pumping in the second row as Eddie Howe and his players celebrated their victory on the pitch.

Manager Eddie Howe clearly noticed his former player as he returned the same gesture

Anderson spent 14 years at Newcastle, making 55 appearances for the first team
And Howe clearly spotted the man he spent three years managing as he fist pumped back in his direction with a smile, joined by Nick Pope.
Anderson was a popular figure with fans and Howe revealed at the time that Newcastle were forced to sell him due to Premier League Profit and Sustainability Rules.
Newcastle were just days away from breaching the rules but Anderson’s £35m move to Forest balanced the club accounts.
Anderson was born in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside and joined Newcastle’s academy aged eight before making his way through the ranks and into the first team.
He spent 14 years in total at St James’ Park, making 55 senior appearances.
