Liverpool fans think Mo Salah has hinted at that he will be leaving Anfield at the end of the season after he appeared to give somewhat of a farewell message in a new interview.
Salah has scored 30 goals and registered a further 21 assists this season in what represent staggering numbers – but the Egyptian is out of contract in the summer with no resolution yet reached.
Liverpool want to extend the deal but have not found an agreement, while Salah has gone on record numerous times saying he is keen to extend.
The Egyptian sat down with TNT Sports and spoke about how he would like to be remembered by Reds supporters.
‘I want fans to remember that I gave it all to the fans, I gave it all to the city. I was here, I wasn’t lazy, I just enjoyed my football and gave it all.
‘I think that’s what the city is about – they give you love and you have a connection with them because you give your all.

‘I just want them to remember that I was here for eight years and I gave it all.’
Liverpool fans were not encouraged by the comments with many thinking that it sounded like a goodbye.
‘Ouch ouch ouch this sounds like a goodbye,’ wrote one while another said ‘all this be looking like farewell message. Mo please don’t break my heart.’
However, Salah refused to give any concrete update on his future and contract talks.
‘No news,’ he said. ‘In a very polite way. I’m just thinking about the Premier League and we’ll see end of the season.’
Salah contributed another goal and an assist as Liverpool beat Man City at the Etihad on Sunday to move almost out of sight at the top of the Premier League.
The match followed second-placed Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat to West Ham the day before, leaving an 11 point gap between the two sides with 11 games remaining, though the Gunners have a game in hand.
Salah, 32, is one of the Liverpool’s all-time greatest players, having scored a remarkable 241 goals in 387 games for the club since joining from Roma in 2017 for an initial £36.5m fee.
The forward has won eight trophies at Anfield, including the Premier League and Champions League.
