Manchester City fans have slammed Ederson’s performance in the club’s 3-2 Champions League defeat to Real Madrid.
Real enjoyed a sustained spell of momentum during the early stages of the game, and Ederson made a number of saves to keep the game goalless before Erling Haaland put the hosts in front.
Kylian Mbappe levelled for Real after the interval, but Haaland was once again on target to restore City’s lead from the penalty spot.
With just minutes remaining in the game, Ederson’s errant pass gave Madrid a golden opportunity to equalise, with Brahim Diaz finishing off from close range against his former club.
Ederson was again at fault in stoppage time as he raced off his line to meet an onrushing Vinicius Jr, whose chip found Jude Bellingham who converted to complete the comeback.

‘Can make some world class saves but his overall performance is dreadful. Never feel comfortable with him in net.’
Another agreed: ‘Ederson and Pep were the main culprits today. CL is gone already. FA cup will be next when we draw Villa or Newcastle. Season over.’
A third fan insisted City would be better off starting Stefan Ortega: ‘Ortega is clear overall… May make the odd mistake but Jesus.
‘How many times does Ederson need to get erratically lost when he is covered, how many times unforced does he distribute poorly at a time where he can’t afford to. Saudi on the mind and a constant liability. Enough!’
