CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer may have been happy with the Buffalo Bills result on Sunday but NFL fans weren’t as impressed with the way he watched the game.
Blitzer, a lifelong Buffalo fan, watched his beloved Bills cruise into the divisional round of the NFL playoffs with a 31-7 Wild-Card win over the Denver Broncos from the comfort of his home Sunday.
And the 76-year-old toasted the Bills’ survival by sharing a photo of himself proudly pointing at the final score on his television screen.
However, the celebratory snap quickly drew the attention of NFL fans who honed in on one particular detail.
While Blitzer has been waiting a long time to witness his Bills lift the Lombardi Trophy, it appears it’s been even longer since he bought a new television.
According to his own photo, the reporter owns a very old school home entertainment setup, featuring a plasma screen television, DVD, VHS and CD players, and at least four difference remotes.

Social media users were quick to roast Blitzer for his ‘veteran’ setup as many urged him to upgrade his setup to more modern standards.
‘Love the two VCR’s. Can rewind one while watching another. Veteran move,’ one fan posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
‘Bro is stuck in the 80’s with his furniture and TV. I thought @CNN paid better. Viewership must be way down,’ another added.
‘Like most grandparents, 20 year old tv with 20 year old peripherals,’ a third said, suggesting Blitzer wouldn’t be the sole member of his generation with a similar setup.
‘Plasma screen from 15 years ago, a dvd player that’s the same age, and a cool sound system controller. Average boomer setup. My in laws have an identically dated setup,’ another echoed.
Others tried to date the technology, as one posted: ‘Looks like a bunch of ’90s technology. I mean is that a tube TV??’
He still has a VHS, that’s wild,’ one baffled fan simply said.
Meanwhile, others encouraged Blitzer to take himself down to his nearest electronics store.

‘I’m happy for you and your Bills, Wolf. But please, retire the VHS player and upgrade your TV,’ one responded to Blitzer’s post.
‘Someone definitely needs to give him a gift card to @BestBuy,’ another shared.

Born in Augsburg, Germany, Blitzer was raised in Buffalo and graduated with a Bachelors degree from the University at Buffalo before receiving his Masters at Johns Hopkins University.
