Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith exited his team’s Sunday Night Football contest against the Green Bay Packers after sustaining a leg injury in the third quarter.
Smith was hit low on a pass play by Packers linebacker Edgerrin Cooper – who appeared to start stumbling before he hit the Seattle quarterback.
Smith was seen limping off the field after the hit and angrily slammed his helmet on the sideline. Later, he was seen grimacing in pain.
After the injury, backup quarterback Sam Howell deputized. The Seahawks went three-and-out and kicked a field goal to make it a 20-6 game.
During the break between the field goal and the ensuing kickoff, Smith went to the locker room with team medical staff and was officially listed as questionable.
