Funnily enough, one of the day’s most memorable moments was when it started to shower during our ceremony! We’d had our hearts set on getting married under the majestic Walnut tree in the Treseren garden, and the weather looked perfect in the morning – but right as Izzy walked down the aisle, a few drops of rain began to fall! It made us all laugh at how typical it was – and the Treseren staff were immediately on hand with umbrellas for the seated guests.
We loved the upright piano in the drawing room—our wedding party included quite a few musicians. The piano was the centrepiece of our final evening at Treseren, with everyone playing and singing together. We loved hosting our first Jewish Friday Night Dinner!
Izzy’s family is Jewish, so we wanted to include some traditional elements despite not having a religious ceremony. Friday night dinner (the Shabbat ceremony) is one of the oldest Jewish traditions, where all the family gathers to enjoy food, good company and a chance to connect on a spiritual level. Treseren was accommodating and helped us make all of our ideas a reality, including serving two enormous Challah loaves in the shape of our initials!
