Aussie jockey Justin Huxtable has been handed a bizarre punishment from Queensland racing authorities following a formal complaint from a young woman.
The talented hoop – who has ridden 419 career winners – has been prohibited from taking part in any pre or post-race media interviews and also riding north of Rockhampton in Queensland.
Huxtable’s riding license was suspended by the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission last month when he was arrested and charged by police at the Innisfail racetrack.
He was then stood down immediately by stewards, according to The Herald Sun.
Huxtable was charged under section 227A of the Queensland Criminal Code, following an alleged complaint made against him by a young woman relating to a breach of privacy.
Under the act, it is illegal for a person to observe or visually record another person in a situation where a reasonable adult would be expected to be afforded privacy.
The incident is alleged to have taken place in August at the Cairns Cup Carnival.
The maximum penalty for the offence is three years in jail.

QRIC commissioner Catherine Clark said in October: ‘QRIC’s role is to maintain the integrity of racing so the jockey [Huxtable] will be stood down from all further racing-related activities until further notice.’
Huxtable appealed his riding ban to the Queensland Racing Appeals Panel, who have since allowed the jockey to return – with strict conditions in place.
They include counselling every fortnight which must be documented, access to results of urine analysis testing for the presence of alcohol and drugs and no interviews trackside on race day meetings.
Riding north of Rockhampton is also off the table.
