Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr has been ruled out of his side’s Champions League clash away to Liverpool this week with a hamstring problem.
In a statement, Real confirmed that Vinicus has suffered ‘an injury to the biceps femoris in his left leg’.
Following Real’s statement, Vinicius wrote: ‘Crazy calendar. Time to recover.’
As reported by The Athletic, it is anticipated that Vinicius will be sidelined for three weeks.
Vinicius played the entirety of Real’s 3-0 win away to Leganes in LaLiga on Sunday.
However, he is now set for a spell on the sidelines and could also miss upcoming league fixtures against Getafe, Athletic Bilbao and Girona, while he is also likely to be a doubt for the Champions League clash with Atalanta on December 10.

Vinicius has continued to make a major impact this season and has scored twelve goals in 18 appearances, while he has provided eight assists.
Real have had a mixed start to their Champions League campaign and are currently in 18th place in the table.
Carlo Ancelotti’s team won at home to Stuttgart and Borussia Dortmund but suffered defeats away to Lille and at home to AC Milan.
