Kamala Harris and the Democrats drove people towards Donald Trump because of their ‘arrogance’ and ‘moral superiority’.
That’s the verdict of Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who has accused Harris of running ‘the worst campaign’ following her crushing defeat in the presidential election.
Trump has been re-elected as president after a resounding victory over the Democrats was all but confirmed in the early hours of Wednesday morning, with the 78-year-old on course to win all seven battleground states.
And as Harris reflects on what can only go down as a disastrous night, Portnoy has revealed why America had ‘no choice’ but to side with her controversial rival.
‘He didn’t just win, he won for fun,’ the Barstool chief said in a video message on X.

‘He won the electoral, he won the popular vote, he got more votes than last time he was president. Just a total ringing endorsement for the Republicans and Donald Trump, and an indictment against the Democrats – and that’s really this rant.
‘Some people are asking, “How did Donald Trump get more votes than he did last time?” Well here’s the answer: People like myself, independents or moderates, the Democrats gave us no choice. The Democrats gave us no choice.
‘That was the worst campaign, and their pure arrogance and moral superiority have driven people away.
‘If you say you’re voting for Trump, suddenly you’re a Nazi, you’re Hitler, you’re garbage. Enough. Enough.’
Portnoy then added: ‘Millions and millions and millions of people vote for Trump. He won clear and he won decisive. So when you call us that and you say that, you’re calling the majority of the country racist and Hitlers. I don’t think you know what that means.
‘You are alienating all these middle ground people by acting like you’re better than us, smarter than us, and frankly insulting our intelligence.’
Harris earned the Democratic nomination when Joe Biden announced he was withdrawing from the presidential race back in July, before she received endorsements from a wide range of high-profile figures.
In her first and only television debate with Trump the general consensus was that she won convincingly, with her rival swiftly deciding there would not be another.

Nevertheless, when it came to voting for their preferred candidate, the majority of the country did not side with Harris.
‘[They] put in Kamala and suddenly she’s the greatest thing since sliced bread,’ Portnoy said about Harris replacing Biden. ‘Same woman who ran for president and got zero votes, same woman who can’t even answer a question how she’s different than Biden.
‘Ran one of the worst campaigns I’ve ever seen. Just strictly her entire campaign was fearmongering. “Trump is a dictator, it’ll be the end of democracy.” It’s garbage.
‘Tonight is on the Democrats. Congratulations Donald Trump, I voted for him and I felt I had no choice but to vote for him because of the campaign the Democrats ran.’
