Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell has been forced to leave his $4.5million mansion after being harassed by fans in the wake of their playoff defeat to the San Francisco 49ers last season.
Campbell – who resided at the property in Bloomfield Township, Michigan, with his wife Holly and their two kids – initially had his address leaked after their loss to the Dallas Cowboys at the end of December 2023.
The 48-year-old was the victim of ‘doxxing’, which is the act of leaking of an individual or organization’s personal information to the public without consent.
When the leaker exposed Campbell’s address, fans sent contractors to his house to make repairs that were neither needed or requested as part of a prank, according to Fox 2 Detroit.

And after their NFC Championship game loss to the 49ers in January, the harassment from crazed supporters only increased.
The Lions coach and his family filed police reports amid fears for their safety as a result, before eventually packing up and leaving the stunning home this week. They have since moved into a more private property.
‘The home is beautiful,’ he told Crain’s Detroit Business. ‘It’s just that people figured out where we lived when we lost.’
Crain Homes helped the Campbell family both sell the property and find a new one within just 24 hours, allowing them to escape the wrath of fans and move somewhere more secluded.
‘He’s obviously gained some more notoriety so I think it was the smart decision for them to move,’ said Ashley Crain, the founder and CEO of Crain Homes.

Campbell’s old home was said to have been a ‘7,800-square-foot Cape Cod-style mansion’.
According to its listing, the pad includes ‘an awe-inspiring 2-story foyer that sets the tone for the home’s opulent interiors’ as well as ‘expansive, light-filled living and entertaining areas (as well as a) pristine white marble chef’s kitchen.’
Campbell first purchased it for around $3.5m back in 2021, just after taking the Lions job.
His Lions team are set to visit the Arizona Cardinals this weekend after beating the LA Rams and losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their first two games of the season.
